Mubasher: US bourses will be closed on Thursday, 22 November on the occasion of Thanksgiving Day.
Several US data was reported ahead of schedule to accommodate the holiday.
On Wednesday, the US Labor Department reported a rise of 3,000 jobless claims to 224,000 for the week ended 17 November. This is the highest level in four-and-a-half months.
As for durable goods, demand fell last month by 4.4% to $248.5 billion, “down three of the last four months,” and following a 0.1% decline in September, according to the US Census Bureau.
